I will keep this one short.
Being a committed uppy downy seatpost kinda rider I already ran a Joplin 3 for a good couple of years - actually find it hard not using one these days.
Anyway - I thought I had better try this out to see what improvements had been made.
For me the key difference is the lack of 'slop' or wobble as it now uses 2 guide blocks to keep it straight in the tube.
The seals have been improved making the service intervals longer and the biggest thing... it's now 4" of drop not 3".
This is useful and I really noticed the difference - sure it's only an inch but it did make a difference to my descending confidence level.
Being a gold finish also made my bike look ace so that is another thumbs up for it.
A definite 'wouldn't ride without' product. |
